Subject: Recommended HTML/CSS tutorial?
No previous message | Next message →
Hello,
A friend would like to learn HTML/CSS. I learned it in bits and pieces - it
would be nice to get her up to speed quickly.
Can you recommend a particularly good online tutorial or book? She would
need to know the HTML basics and then move on to CSS.
I did a Google search but found some of the tutorials a bit daunting, both
in what they cover and the presentation (lots of links, distracting ads),
etc.
Many thanks for your help!
Catherine

You might like to try W3 Schools at http://www.w3schools.com/
It's comprehensive but does provide a gentle learning curve.

Catherine,
I would also suggest looking at the HTML/XHTML and CSS tutorials offered
by West Civ at:
http://www.westciv.com/courses/index.html
I like their courses. They seem well written and easy to understand. I
particularly like that they teach the student how to create web
standards-based sites.
