Hi folks,

I wonder if there is an accessible dropdown which works for both Windows
screen readers (JAWS, NVDA) and VoiceOver on a MAC. All of the dropdown,
whether it is select only, with autocomplete etc. which I get my hands on
to is not properly working with VoiceOver where it works just fine for JAWS
and NVDA. An example which I can give would be, when expanding a dropdown
list items VoiceOver announces nothing, and when I interact with the list
items with QuickNav on then the focus goes out of the dropdown list.
Anybody has any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Allyssa.

Hi Allyssa,

I understand that one of your requirement is regarding an accessible
autocomplete dropdown. I have incorporated the one discussed in the below
article and so far it has worked with all of the assistive technologies I
got the users on, including JAWS, NVDA, VO, Dragon, etc.

Thanks,
