Hi all.
I have a requirement from one of our teams to identify if there is any CAG =
failures or best practise related to a Telco diagnostic page they are build=
ing. The page will have a play button to play an audio sound. The sound cou=
ld be an Ring Tone, Audio engaged tone, etc. There will be instructions on =
the page to indicate what sound is being played. Does any of the 1.2.x requ=
irements for caption kick in here for a telco dial tone diagnostic audio sa=
mple? Has anyone done anything like this before? Does anyone have best prac=
tise guidance here?

I was scratching my head wondering what "CAG" was but assume you mean WCAG, yes?
Is the intended use of this alternate access by a telephone worker who cannot hear?
What comes to mind are things like the alerts in iOS you can program to be on and notify you if it hears coughing, a knock on the door, running water and so on. Or the Merlin app to identify bird sounds it hears.
