I hate working in an envirnment where politics seem to
rule.

I am the web administrator for Florida Blind Services.

In Florida, we are in the process of getting laws to
have state contract agencies
make accessible websites and web applications. Pretty
sad cause it
has been the law for at least 6 years and state folks
should just
write it in a contract.

My delimia is that we now have a contract agency to
accept
donations. I was told to add a link to their site.

I was shocked. Their url is
http://www.floridablindservices.org
and
their site is made with flash and has code violations
in it flash
rules. My boss told me it was not my concern to worry
about their
site being accessiblity just to add the link. No
wonder florida
needs a law...

I got some useful information about flash at
http://evolt.org/node/9601 and web aim.

When I email the person who requested the link and cc
the folks who are concerned with that site being
accessible, I am going to mention the accessiblity
issue.

If you were me, would you just suggest a text equivelent.
