The American Foundation for the Blind is seeking a freelance contract worker to expand its network of accessibility services. We are looking for somebody that has software development and technical accessibility evaluation skills. Must be familiar with Section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.0 guidelines and standards. Applicants should be prepared to look at source code and identify accessibility barriers without any supervision. Although this position does not require any usability testing, it is important to be familiar with the behavior of assistive technology. Work may include webpages and web sites, application software, hardware, and mobile.

AFB Consulting is the cross-disability accessibility arm of the American Foundation for the Blind. Click on www.afbconsulting.org<;http://www.afbconsulting.org>; to learn more about our practice.

Please feel free to send me a copy of your CV as well as any other materials that demonstrate your competence with technical accessibility. Please feel free to pass along this notice to other interested parties.

Thanks,
Marc Grossman
