I've checked WebAim archives but came up dry.

Are there any best practices for setting up templates in MS Word that are
accessible?

There are 2 factors I see in this client's job:

1) Word's template fields: See reference at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/field-codes-template-field-HP005
186198.aspx

2) Language in the body of the template that indicates a choice, such
as Dear Mr./Ms. LastName.

Ideas? Are there materials online regarding this?
