hello:
many of the sites we work with have the read more link. we would like to
recamend the best way to have these links be the most accessable. i would
like to say use the discribe by to have the artacle title aded but my
consern is that the links list does not pick up the discribed by lable.
how can we best creat these links in the most accessible way? is this the
recommendation should be using? perhaps the answer is we lawby the AT
vender's to start adding the described by label in the links list Lucy

Lucy,

We've often suggested having additional text within the link text that
provides the necessary context. The additional text can be contained in a
span element that has CSS on it which hides the additional text from
sighted users.

However, the hidden text with span elements, and the use of
aria-describedby do not help those using voice recognition, since in either
case they do not get a visual clue for what to say that will uniquely
activate the link. We really try to get designers to include the additional
text and leave it visible.... but, then, you probably know how difficult
that is!
