I'm curious for adding an alt if the image's purpose is to help focus
the visual user and:
- there is no link or button
-does NOT convey any important information
-nor it is a repetitive image

Should this be an empty alt or should there be a description?

Thanks

Nancy

Hi Nancy,

Have a look at the advice on alt text in the HTML5 specification, it may be
helpful

http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/embedded-content-0.html#alt

Based on what information you've provided, I' likely leave it as an empty alt.

I would think that perhaps wrapping the associated text in a H5 or declaring the graphic to be a bullet might make sense.

Best wishes,
