I haven't seen much on accessibility problems of Windows 10. What is the
gist on accessibility of Windows 10. I do get the sense that folks using AT
are using it successfully.

I've been using it ever since I got the upgrade notification. I'm using it with JAWS 17 and haven't noticed much difference.

Oh, I am using IE as my browser, not Edge. Edge seemed to be the sticking point on accessibility/not quite there yet. Other than that I haven't noticed much difference.
Oh, OK, there is a slightly different way of adding icons to the desktop, but the process is accessible.

As a campus we aren't upgrading yet, but that has as much to do with the fact that we are "conservative" in our approach to rolling out new software and OS versions as much as anything -- the administration wants to make certain that we have stable systems for our students and employees to use, and that includes AT (since we distribute AT across all our student images). I tested an early version of Windows 10 on my AT test box and at that time it forced me to uninstall all my AT and then wouldn't let me reinstall any of it because it claimed it was all incompatible with the OS. That being said, I'm hearing from others, like Karen, that later versions play more nicely with at least the most recent releases of major AT. If, however, you have even slightly older versions and don't have the funds or other capacity to purchase the latest versions, I think you could still be out of luck. When I ran into compatibility problems with that earlier version of Win10 I simply wiped the machine and reinstalled the previous OS image rather than continuing to work with it, and I haven't had a chance to try again with a later release yet.

From all the things I read, and the people I talk to, there are still a few rough edges with some assistive technology, but if you are using a recent release of a major AT product, things seem to be working pretty well. Some products are not yet able to use Edge, the new browser. Freedom Scientific has info on its web page about upgrading, and what you have to do for Windows 10.

Windows 10 works well with Jaws, NVDA and Narrator (the latter especially useful if you want to use Edge). Not sure about other Ats/accessibility needs though.

As a Dragon NaturallySpeaking user, whose office will be moving to Office 2016 and Office 365 sometime this year, I've also been interested and concerned about this move. We've already seen issues with Office 2010 and Dragon 12, Office 2013 and Dragon 12, Office 2013 and Dragon 13, as well as Office 2013 and Dragon 13. after dealing with the poor accessibility of the download and installation
process it is fine for the most part. I haven't had any real issues that are
specifically related to Windows 10. There are a few design issues that could
be improved but they aren't accessibility related.I was forced to use
Windows 8.1 for about a year after having to get a new computer and it is
definitely an improvement.
