Hello WebAIM,

Work is starting on HTML5.1 at W3C. Many of you will know that W3C works
hard to make the web open and accessible for everyone, and we'd like your
help to make it so with HTML5.1.

The Web Platform Working Group (WPWG) is now responsible for HTML at W3C.
Two of the WPWG co-chairs (Chaals McCathie Nevile and myself), and one of
the HTML editors (Steve Faulkner) are frequent contributors to the WebAIM
list, which hopefully speaks of the importance W3C attaches to accessibility
in HTML.

We'd like your help making HTML5.1 more usable for everyone. If you know of
things that don't work, things that aren't supported in at least two
browsers, or things that are just plain unreadable, we'd like to know.

We've posted some information on working on HTML5.1, including how you can
help:
https://www.w3.org/blog/2016/04/working-on-html5-1/

In the meantime, if you can spread the word across your networks,
development teams, or anyone else who uses HTML (for whatever reason), that
would be marvellous. Thank you.

Léonie.
