I'll start by saying that I know that Content Controls in Word 2007+ are not
accessible.
However, I need to point to some documentation other than my own to support
this. Does anyone know of any documentation specifically about the
inaccessibility of the Content Controls in Word?
Cheers, Karen

Hi Karen,
I would be curious to see what others provide, but this is one source I
know of (it is only a sentence and this may not be what you need):
http://doccenter.freedomscientific.com/doccenter/archives/training/accessible-forms-in-word.htm
Cheers

Thanks! I had the web page but was not able to quickly find the text on my iPad.

Here is the reference, in case this is easier. It is under
* Edit Boxes in Word 2007 - 2013*
*NOTE:* There are several new form controls called "content controls" that
are available in Word 2007 - 2013 for creating form fields. At the present
time, JAWS does not work with forms created with the newer content
controls. Microsoft is aware of this and they are working towards a better
solution. Therefore, these instructions show you how to use legacy controls
within Word to create accessible forms.
Freedom is a good source, but I would have liked to have found a Microsoft
reference. I haven't come across one yet (there may be in their forums).
Cheers

Thanks, I've asked Microsoft for any accessibility documentation for Content Controls. Wil let you know if I get anything.
