Hi everyone,

We are currently looking at Website Quality Assurance Suites that provide spell check, seo, branding, and accessibility reports. The important part for my team is the Accessibility report. We use a free browser plug-in for accessibility testing currently as the plug-in allows us not only to test against public facing websites but also our portals and backend systems (student mobile apps, peoplesoft, etc.). We've taken a look at one well known suite, but unfortunately the suite can only test against public facing sites. If anyone knows of an "all-in-one" suite for website quality assurance that can work with both public sites and portals, please email me at = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = <mailto: = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = > so we can reach out to the vendor for a demo.

Thanks so much!

Hi Christina,
I had very little success trying to use that tool with a screen reader. I keep looking for tools like this that I can use effectively.

Thanks.

Jim

Jim
The aXe Firefox plug-in from Deque is pretty easy to use with a screen reader.
http://www.deque.com/products/axe/
When I was with Deque I wrote a guide on using FireEyes II with Jaws
(aXe is a subset of FireEyes II, same instructions minus the ability
to switch between rule sets and export the results):
https://dequeuniversity.com/guide/fireeyes-ii/1.1/introduction/jaws

I know people have been able to use Wave with Chrome, but personally I
have never had success doing it.
I loved Wave for Firefox but sadly I don't think another plug-in is
forthcoming (and I would be happy is someone proved me wrong on this).

As for the original question. The only tool I know off that does SEO
as well as accessibility is Siteimprove
But I have not tested the qulity of their accessibility testing nor do
I know whether it works behind a firewall (I would assume it does,
given the nature of the software).
Good luck.
