Hi,
I'm starting to think that we can fake solving the problem by having the developers use JS to watch the new text that comes into the chat area, have them remove the ARIA from the chat area, and use an iFrame that appears at the end of the document. Position the iFrame off-screen and use ARIA on that. Have the users navigate to the off-screen frame to review to their hart-s content in speech and braille. Let me think about that.

Jim
