hello: one of our units on campus has asked me if i know of any accessable
database they can use to manige student interactions.
in the past they used filemaker but i felt it was not accessable when i
tryed to use it this team does not have a dev on hand to creat the
database so they need a simple form creator that can give easy lookups.
and stats.

what does any one here recamend. thanks lucy

Hi,
It's not so much the database as it is the interface to the database. For total accessibility, assuming the person is a screen reader user and the database is a web one, at a university, I would probably opt for a MySQL database with a PHP front-end that includes as much plain old HTML as possible.

Hi Lucia,

Do you think they are looking for a CRM system? Does it need to be
accessible to students, or staff, or both? Do you know what type of
student interactions they are looking to capture and what they want to
do with them?

If you can get them to be more specific about what they're looking
for, then hopefully someone on here or another accessibility forum
will be able to suggest an accessible application.

Cheers, Lynn
