Hi Everyone
Does anyone know of a freelance developer they would recommend? I'm looking
for people who are knowledgeable about accessibility, so I wouldn't have to
do too much hand holding when asking them to work on projects.

What kind of projects are you considering, how much approximate time commitment?
I work with a bunch of developers and they are all learning a lot
about accessibility, some of them may be considering some freelance
work from time to time.

Hi Birkir,
Hi TJ
The bulk of our content runs on templates through a CMS, however we have
some smaller legacy sites that are not compliant and need updating. In many
cases the site creators are long gone. For the most part these are fairly
basic html, however some do have a bit more going on, for example elements
using javascript and jquery. Right now we are trying to come up with a plan
for these sites with the administration. I'm trying to do a little prep
work in case they turn to us and say "hire someone." I'm looking for
someone who can take notes like "headings do not follow logical structure"
and run with it, instead of having to be told which <H> level each heading
should be - that kind of thing. At the moment I'm just collecting names of
people we could contact to explore this further in the future, if/when we
are told to do so.
As for time commitment, it is hard to say at this point, but I should know
more in the coming weeks.

Hi Sarah,
This may be interesting for me. I did front-end development for years and
lately have spent my time doing accessibility audits, as a freelancer.

At Blndspt, we do more remediations that just about anyone else in North America (both large and small). We review and quote 5 page wordpress sites as well as 300 page enterprise-CMS-driven giant applications (sitecore, drupal, etc.).
We'd be happy to help! We push out remediation quotes about 5-10 per week! We have an entire stable of accessibility engineers across every tech stack.
