Hi All,
Hope this mail finds you healthy and in well being.
I was getting confused as I was overthinking on a question. Some of my
colleagues are performing accessibility testing just by using Wave tool and
at maximum they are using keyboard only navigation. All of them are well
sighted individuals.
The remote infra makes it impossible for a screen reader to function and so
I have to convince them about the importance of screen reader testing. I
was thinking of a WCAG 2.x SC with AA level which cannot be determined by
the Wave and also difficult to make up with keyboard only testing.
Please share your thoughts over the same.

By using WAVE and comprehensive keyboard testing only, I think the
following are the only Level A/AA success criteria for which conformance
can be verified:
- 2.1.1 - Keyboard
- 2.1.2 - No Keyboard Trap
- 2.1.4 - Character Key Shortcuts
- 2.4.3 - Focus Order
- 2.4.7 - Focus Visible
- 3.2.1 - On Focus
- 3.2.2 - On Input
That leaves 43 (if my count is correct) success criteria that could not be
verified using these techniques alone. WAVE and keyboard testing may
certainly reveal failures with many other success criteria, but could not
alone be used to verify conformance with the vast majority of WCAG 2.1.
