Dear Accessibility Community,

My name is Meredith Rendall, and I am a graduate student in the School
of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill.

I am writing to request assistance in recruiting visually impaired
participants for a research study of the accessibility of museum and
other cultural institution websites. I will be conducting the study
during the months of February and March, 2007, under Dr. Barbara
Wildemuth, Distinguished Professor in the School of Information and
Library Science.

Participants will be asked to complete a total of 12 tasks (the same
three tasks on each of four cultural institution websites, while
thinking aloud). They will also be asked to assess the usability of
each site. Participants will need to have access to a computer with an
Internet connection and telephone, simultaneously. The entire study
procedure will be conducted by telephone and, with permission, audio
recorded. All participants will be entered in a drawing for Amazon
gift certificates ($20 each; two will be awarded). This study is
completely voluntary.

If you would like to participate, please email ( <EMAIL REMOVED> ) or
contact me at (919) 636 4171 for further information regarding the
study.

Thank you for your attention to this request.

Sincerely,
Meredith B Rendall
