Just a reminder for the Chicago Universal Web Design 2 day course coming up
soon on January 17th and 18th. This is great opportunity for web developers
and administrators to learn about accessibility and the benefits to
developers in using standards based accessibility designs using HTML and
CSS.
There are still seats available, so please register soon.
Please share information about these workshops with people you think would
benefit from this course.
Overview
With the passage of the Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act
(IITAA) it is important for web developers to learn about the IITAA
requirements and how to create web resources that do not only meet the IITAA
accessibility requirements, but are also easier for web developers to create
and maintain through the use of web standards. Creating accessible web
sites using web standards makes web resources more adaptable to a wider
range of technologies used by everyone (i.e. cell phones, PDAs, legacy
browser, high resolution displays), including the technologies used by
people with disabilities (i.e. Screen readers, magnifiers, voice
recognition).
Chicago Session
