Shortcut keys

for

Hi All,

Can any one tell me where I might find out which shortcut keys are usable in
the most common audio browsers? I'd like
to know how much of our site is shortcut key accessible to the blind.

To clarify what I mean, the shortcut keys are the keys we underline in our
text links on our web
site. For example 'About us' has a shortcut key of U, so you can press ALT +
U and Enter, to go straight there. You can take a look at the site at
www.usabilitybydesign.com

If you look at Internet Explorer you'll see that we can't use certain keys
as they've already been used in the product menus. We couldn't use H for
example, as Alt + H will automatically select the Help menu. So in Internet
Explorer, looking across the menus, we have to avoid using shortcut keys of
F, E, V, A, T, H. If we assign any of those letters to shortcut keys on our
site, then those shortcuts just won't work for visitors using Internet
Explorer.

What I'm asking therefore, is there any way I can find out the same thing
for
leading audio browsers? - what letters should we avoid using for them? I
have
no way of knowing right now, so we may be using letters that won't work for
all blind visitors. The letters we are currently using (including the new
design) are: O, U, B, W, D, R, C.

Many thanks in advance,
Lisa
