Re: Articulate Accessibility Issues?

Last week I observed someone use a screen reader with an elearning module
created through Articulate.
It was quite inaccessible. In particular, all of the buttons and controls
seem to be labeled with numbers rather than words. At least, that is what we
heard, when the person navigated it with the screen reader. Just a long
series of numbers. Quire frustrating!

When I searched this discussion list, I was quite interested to see the
suggestions below from Larry Pollard, about customizing the Articulate
Player. I thought that might hold a possible solution.

Larry said:

"Many e-learning course designers out there believe that any thing you
create using Articulate is automatically accessible which is not the case.
Articulate is not accessible but tools like PowerPoint can be used in
accordance with articulate to create accessible e-learning course content.

I have found nearly every element of the Articulate Player can be
customized. With so many customization options, it is useful to have a way
to save and quickly apply pre-configured player options. Player Templates
provide this ability.

I used that link, and as a result found my way to the Player Templates
dialog box in Articulate, where the player can be customized. However, I
don't see anything in it, that seems to indicate labels that are numbers, or
where to change them. I'm wondering - am I overlooking something?

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Linda
