It reads like an ordered list that starts at zero, which would be
less code heavy and easier to be accessible.
Four things:
People who are not computer-oriented are likely not to be familiar
with numbered lists that start with zero, so your listing technique
could be kinda confusing on that basis.
Since (as you note) browsers render such lists unreliably, the
appropriateness of trying to do it that way is limited. There are
likely to be more site visitors using NN 4.7x than disabled users of
your site. (she said, shaking her head and rolling her eyes)
The accessibility specialists that we have consulted on our own
product assure us that the undesirability of tables is overstated,
particularly when they are as simple and easy to label as your case
is.
As for code-heaviness, it's always worth asking if there is a shorter
way to do things, but the difference here can't possibly affect the
load speed of your page in a way that can be perceived by the user.
