Perhaps the "Section 508" website (http://www.section508.gov/index.cfm)
would be a good resource. This site is by The Center for Information
Technology Accommodation (CITA), in the U.S. General Services
Administration's Office of Governmentwide Policy, which has been charged
with the task of educating Federal employees and building the infrastructure
necessary to support Section 508 implementation. There was a big event in
June in DC and links to presentations are found at
http://www.accessibilityforum.org/docs/june_mtg_02/index.html.

Part of the site is the "508 Universe" at http://www.section508.gov/508/.
There are basic training courses such as Designing Accessible Websites,
Accessible Conferences, Section 508 Coordinators, and Buying Accessible
E&IT.

One of their forums should have information about current events that you
could attend.

Best Wishes,
Joan Good Schwimmer

Subject: 508 training

Can anyone recommend good 508 training courses / seminars in the Washington
DC Area? We have a web group of three that would like to attend some
training.
Thank you.
