In over 65 countries, Perkins International helps create inclusive
communities where children with deafblindness or visual impairment and
additional disabilities can reach their greatest potential by building
alliances and transforming the landscape of national policies. While
were working with partners overseas, we need your help to broaden our
online presence, spread awareness and extend our reach.
Were looking for an International Online Coordinator to position us
as a major player in the international development, education and
disability sectors, worthy of investment by large foundations,
international NGOs, multilateral agencies, and governments. This
position will engage constituents with an interest in our work abroad
to become more involved as donors and advocates.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and update compelling, timely and informative content
PerkinsInternational.org and related messaging campaigns
Develop and implement an integrated, web-based international advocacy
and outreach strategy that will ultimately yield more funding
Grow our email housefile, facilitating segmentation of
members/activists/donors for targeted and personalized messaging
Build and manage a presence for Perkins International through social
media and networking sites
Track and analyze data and trends to systemize and prioritize the
organizations online communications, with special emphasis on email
response, conversion rates and viral success
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
3 5 years of direct online experience
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ideal candidate will be knowledgable of global campaigns and actors in
the international and human rights fields
Experience with Content Management Systems (Drupal preferred)
Proficiency in web production, including advanced skills in HTML and CSS
Superior interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with
different personalities and ability to work as a part of a
cross-departmental team
Good at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
Interest in, and commitment to disability issues worldwide
Experience with Facebook, Twitter and other social networks a plus
