The ideal is that there be a combination of headers and land marks with skip
tos for the things you can't use the other two for. Skip to is an older tool
that does still have a use but using a combination of the three means that a
person has options and many fast shortcuts.

I fully understand how to properly implement a “skip to” link, but I was
wondering if there is a general consensus regarding multiple “skip to”
links? In other words, should there be more than the “skip to main content”
link and also provide links such as “skip to navigation” or “skip to
footer”?
Assuming proper page structure with headings is in place, links have
descriptive titles etc. is it necessary to have multiple “skip to” links?
