Hello Anna, not sure if this is what you are interested in but I am currently using 3D printing to make the structural elements of STEM learning objects more accessible for blind and visually impaired students and also those students who are kinesthetic learners for greater hands-on access. You can check out my proof of concept pages at the following web addresses.

My future plan is to have the stl files available for anyone to download and make their own learning objects which are now in the real and touchable world rather than the virtual world. Again, not sure if this helps but thought you might be interested in this work.

At the moment/ we are looking at stories of making OERs (more) accessible especially in the context of engaging with repositories. Has anybody on the list used resources developed by and/or contributed to the OER Access project (http://oeraccess.merlot.org/)? If that is the case, could you come back to me at <EMAIL REMOVED> and share your experiences, no matter how small your involvement was?
