Title attribute, if you want a visible tooltip, can work as an accessible name or aria-label if you dont want a visible tooltip. Visually hidden labels work too, though Ive seen that if theyre positioned off screen VoiceOver for iOS focus gets messed up visually. Test on your target devices.
