Thanks all. I agree with everyone. We do have transcripts available via a
link right below the video player, but they're not synced for captions,
which, apparently, follows the WCAG rules for this type of video. I also
agree that, since we have the scripts for the videos, the hard work is
done. I've been using SyncWords to generate caption files for the videos on
our corporate site that don't have them already, but we've got hundreds of
talking heads videos with no good way to automatically distinguish them
from the rest of the videos in our courses. SyncWords has a great API that
I could leverage to automate this, but my boss says that we will replace
those videos by the end of the Summer with better versions that include
slides or something else interspersed. As such, they will require captions
and we will create them. Given that we'll be replacing the videos, I can
see his point of not spending the time to go though all of our courses to
find and process the videos.
