We caption recorded WebEx videos often. We ask program staff to do the following.
1. Login to your WebEx hosting account.
2. Click on "My WebEx"
3. Click "My Files" on the left bar
4. Click "My Recordings" tab
5. Open the WebEx Recording Editor
6. Click "File" and "Open". Find the recording you would like to convert.
7. Confirm that the recording is stopped, since you cannot export a file that is playing.
8. Click "File"
a. Select "Export to"
b. Choose a location for the file in the "Export to" dialog box.
c. Type a file name and click "Save." The customizable .WMV options dialog box appears. Click "OK."
9. A WMV Options box will pop up.
a. Select Video Codec: Windows Media Video 9
b. Select Audio Codec: Windows Media Audio 9.2
c. Click "OK"
10. Once the OK button is clicked the WRF file conversion will begin as shown in the below example image. Once the conversion is complete the window will disappear.
Once they have the WMV file, the file is sent for captioning and then posted.
