As someone who reads alt text, I expect alt text to follow the same
writing conventions as one would follow elsewhere, in writing on the web.

There's no need to overthink "special" things for screen reader users,
when it comes to punctuation and the like.


Remember that screen reader users can change their punctuation settings,
so trying to anticipate how they will be set is unnecessary and pretty
much impossible.

Thanks for your concern, but I'd sure rather see folks focusing their
time on the much bigger fish we need to be frying, in terms of task
completion, fundamental basic functionality, etc.
