I can't say I have an efficient way to use the Macintosh dev. environment. There are a couple discussion points on the AppleVis web site. Other resources that might be of interest:

1. MacVisionaries mailing list.
2. bats mailing list.

Both of these are on the google groups platform.
Are you looking to use the Safari Web inspector, Xcode, or any tool?

I can safely state that Bare Bones Software bbedit tools text areas are inaccessible.
