I believe a little of your message might have gotten lost. In Jaws there is certainly the ability to bring up a on screen braille display available under the start menu.
If you were asking about NVDA and the NVDA word got lost, than I am not sure directly, the only thing I have experienced is the text viewer.
There is also a virtual Braille Display panel for Macintosh VoiceOver. You can look in the Visuals area of VoiceOver Utility to enable.
