Re: does anyone use firefox's ctrl+tab feature?

Thanks, Dan. Yes, I'm aware of ctrl+tab and shift+ctrl+tab. That works
for tabs that are adjacent to each other but I often have dozens of tabs
open. If I want to switch back and forth between tabs 3 and 9, for
example, I have to press ctrl+tab six times each way, which isn't
pleasant. And before someone mentions ctrl+<number>, yes I'm aware of that
too. I can use ctrl+1 through ctrl+8 to go directly to tabs 1 through 8.
ctrl+9 is a special key that goes to the last tab, so if I had 20 tabs
open, I can go directly to the first 8 tabs and the 20th tab (with
ctrl+9). But having to remember which number is the tab I want is a
cognitive load, and only works for the first eight tabs. I'm out of luck
if I want to switch between tabs 11 and 18 (out of 20 tabs).

And in case anyone is thinking, "Why are so many tabs open?", I'm a busy
guy :-) I have various tabs open on apps that I'm auditing, various wcag
requirements, authoring practice design patterns, a11y blogs that i'm
currently reading. The tabs are kind of my "to do" list. If there's
something I want to read, I'll leave the tab there until I get to it.
