Re: Video with no sound

I've seen that before and since my hearing is ok, I've wondered if my
speakers were muted or something. I have never seen an indication that a
video does not have any sound but it would certainly be a useful thing to
indicate.

I suppose a simple "No Sound" image or text in the corner of the video
would indicate it. If there are other controls on the video that's
playing, such as volume or closed caption widgets, that would help too.
The closed caption could be "No sound or music" or "No audio" or something
like that. The volume could be at 0 or the muted icon (although that might
indicate that the mute could be turned off somehow).

Make sure you have a way to pause or stop the video (wcag 2.2.2
<https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/time-limits-pause.html>).

And you should probably set aria-hiddden="true" on the video container if
the video is purely decorative.
