On the Apple side, www.applevis.com is always a great resource for app reviews, including those for smart home devices. I'm not aware of any such sites/resources for other smart speakers (Google, Amazon, etc.).

Subject: [WebAIM] Smart home app accessibility

Are there any forums for tracking the accessibility of apps for smart homes?
I've been shopping for a new HVAC system. I've found one well-known brand that comes with a smart thermostat that seems to work very well with VoiceOver. Two other brands of thermostats are at the opposite end of the a11y spectrum. This has gotten me to think about how homes are getting more dependent on smart technology, which could leave a lot of us at disadvantages in our own homes.
