Questions I have for you:
1. do you understand when to apply 1.4.3 on which components?
2. Do you know how to test for 1.4.3 colour contrast?
3. Do you know the other related SC such as 1.4.11 Non-Text Contrast?

If you understand the above, then I feel you have enough information to educate the group. Understanding when or not to use specific colour combinations for branding or visual effects I think isn't an area of ease for someone who is blind. What are good colour combinations is something will be learnt in experience if you ask people or review a lot of CSS. Again, I see this as being a challenge for a blind person compared to someone who can see. Thus why I pair with someone who can see to touch upon the more challenging areas.

Note: I am a blind person myself and sharing my experience.

The same concepts apply to the 2nd question.

Does anyone have any good resources or ideas on how a totally blind person can present / train others on the guidelines for color (use of) and color contrast issues? Also, does anyone know of any good and bad examples of for the color guidelines of WCAG? Thanks for all of your help.
