I dealt with access to sheet music a few years back when I wrote the Music chapter of the Accessible Image Sample Book<http://diagramcenter.org/accessible-image-sample-book/sample-8-music.html>;. Although the content itself is still intact, some of the links on that page now longer work and I don't think Benetech is updating the site anymore since the grant that funded the DIAGRAM Center has expired. Nonetheless, I believe the content is still factually correct.

I'm trying to find some information on optimizing the accessibility of sheet music. The specific context that I am researching for is providing sheet music and musical notations in electronic documents for an online course.

A preliminary web search turned up a number of projects in this space, but I wasn't able to find anything with recent activity, or with notable (sorry, couldn't help myself) results.
