David,

While not specifically like Facebook, Mastodon has been a place that blind people are flocking to these days with the major changes happening to Twitter and other platforms. You may want to try this.

Tweesecake for Windows and the Mac,Mona for iOS and other clients exist that are very accessible and easy to use.

Subject: [EXT][WebAIM] Alternatives to Facebook

External Email

Hello Webaim Members,

For reasons unclear to me, my Facebook account was recently discontinued and said to be related to spam. I think my account had been hacked, but that's an issue not needed in this post.
I used Facebook Basic Mobile as I am a blind person and this worked best for navigating the site. Besides TickTalk, what social media sites work best for blind users reliant on screen readers like NVDA?
The account suspension is for six months, and thus, I am done with Facebook.
Thank you for your assistance with this and informative discussions and website.
