I have some students working on a project to develop a real
time visual imapirment simulator for Windows.
The students have done a great job and have a beta version for
testing and feedback. The software does not make any changes
to your system and uses a video card feature called overlays
(typical used for video play back) to render the simulation.
System requirements:
Pentium III or better processor
Video card with at least 16 Megs of video memory
The software has been tested on nVida and ATI video cards
You can download the software from:
http://slappy.cs.uiuc.edu/cs492/Group2/vis/index.php?status=download
We would love to have comments on problems, accuracy of visual
simulation and new features.
Please send feedback to Jon Gunderson, e-mail: <EMAIL REMOVED>
Thanks and hope to hear from you,
Jon
