You are right. I don't know where my mind is sometimes. At work I have
a little widget to get rid of style sheets. I think I downloaded it
from http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/widgets/

And font sizes. Useful - or even necessary - as this may be, it does not
mean turning style sheets off, which was the question. There is no
normal
way to switch styles off on IE. You can override any particular CSS
rule,
though, in a user style sheet.
