At one time the term MBNA meant (I think) "Maryland Bank, National
Association", but now it doesn't mean that. The company is "MBNA
National Bank". CNBC is similar. Radio and television stations maybe
had a choice in the early days, but basically radio transmissioncall
letters don't have a deliberate correlation with anything. However one
can provide some additional information to the users. CNBC is a cable
television station, part of the Microsoft Network (MSN) and is owned by
Microsoft. It is hard to tell just what sort of entity it is. If you
type in http://www.cnbc.com/ there is a redirect to
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/home.asp
