When remediating a PDF file in the Tags panel using Acrobat XI Pro or DC, is there any way to prevent the Tags structure from automatically collapsing when a document is saved?

No, but if you take note of the page you are on you can select some text and use Find Tag from Selection under the Tags Panel Options.

Not that I am aware of, but I speed up the process of getting back to where I was by using the "find tag from selection" option.

No, there isn't.
But this is a great feature to request from Adobe.
Visit their "wish list" forum at http://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html You can create an anonymous login if you need to protect your government or corporate identity.
Please do this.
Otherwise we'll never get this resolved.
The auto-collapsed tag tree is a royal P.I.T.A. â pain in the anatomy.

No, but you can type * to expand the entire tree.

Thanks all for your respective responses! Yes, we definitely use 'Find Tag from Selection' and the * but were hoping there might be a way to do this. Bevi - great suggestion about the Adobe Wish List; thanks for sharing the link.
Best,
Tiffany

I know this is from a few days ago, but I wanted to share some things I do
that might also be helpful to you.
On longer documents I make use of the standard grouping elements in 32000.
Note that these are completely useless to AT (at least as of this message),
but they can be really helpful in figuring out where you are. Also, if you
ever need to break apart a recently tagged document to locate that one
annoying corrupt page that's driving you nuts, this is an excellent way to
save hair. Just make sure you use them correctly or you'll get errors in CL
or PAC later.
Another trick is to simply type where I am working on directly next to the
tag itself. For example, I might be deep in the structure tree working on a
particular Sect, and in order to not lose my place, I'll simply add STOPPED
HERE after a P or L tag I just finished working on. It shows up as a tag
element title, but it's visible while working on it, and it's announced in
the tag structure as such. Just remember to delete that before continuing!
Hope this helps. +1 to the feature, tho there's other things I'd rather
they do in it, like improve the way you have to commit brain surgery just
to provide alternative text to a link...
