Hello,
I'm seeking solutions for creating complex accessible mathematical
documents. What editors, tools and methods would you suggest I use?
Thank you,

Hi,
Peter from MathJax here.
First off, thanks for the kind words, Lucy!
A summary of our most recent tools, the accessibility extensions can be
found at [1]. These tools integrate our sister project, speech-rule-engine
[2], which was built by Volker Sorge as part of ChromeVox (which still uses
it). Braille output is also on its roadmap (and a major release is
imminent).
We will also be working work on "static" rendering (not requiring JS on the
client) next year.
Best regards,
Peter.

There is also the Accessible Equation Editor from Pearson:
http://accessibility.pearson.com/aee/
It produces MathML content.

Hello Ayelet,
Check out Central Access Toolbar (Free): https://www.cwu.edu/central-access/toolbar
Requires general OCR software (Omnipage/ABBYY)
Requires INFTY Reader for Math OCR ($180 yr): http://www.inftyreader.org/?p)
And you'll need to install MathPlayer for it to read aloud on PC's (Not needed on Mac): https://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathplayer/
Webinar for the tool (Occurring on April 20th @ 10AM EST): https://docs.google.com/a/ucdavis.edu/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScuB2I5M_ePUjO1mPwsVbBKAwYQgxuSaIm_cT0C45e3wa71QA/viewform
There's also Scientific Notebook for creating Math Problems: https://www.mackichan.com/index.html?products/snb.html~mainFrame
Or you can use an online service such as wiris.com: http://www.wiris.com/editor/demo/en/mathml-latex
Here is a list of screenreaders, and the needed plugins, which will read math aloud: http://msf.mathmlcloud.org/
Best,
Joshua Hori
