Hi All,

I have a query regarding Color contrast of alt text of images.

After disabling the image in browser settings, is it mandatory to check the
color contrast of alt text of images with browser background?

Do we have any guideline or document for reference?

Regards,
Gopi.

In short, no. Or rather: for WCAG, you don't need to test turning off
images and then checking the contrast of the fallback the browser
presents. If you decide to still do it, it's an extra, not related to
WCAG per se.

Not required by PDF/UA-1, either.
Alt text is not intended to be visually read, but rather voiced by a screen reader or other technology.
