I use the PDFMaker in Word all the time successfully to convert to
accessible/tagged PDF format. It usually works great

Right now, I have a 100 page document that is formated very nicely and
has chart and tabular data that has been imported from excel. The
problem that I'm having is that this document seems to get stuck
somewhere in the conversion process and will not convert to PDF format
using the PDFMaker macro in word. I am able to use the print to pdf, but
this won't automatically add the tags.

This site right here has been
helpful:http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/31e8e.htm (I have tried
everything they suggest on this page)

However, this seems to confirm the file has a problem, which I
understand, however I was wondering if anyone knows a quick type of fix
for this problem. Because the document is so long, it could possibly
take hours to correct a data problem, even if I did find a repeated
problem. I was hoping I could save it to some format or do something
else to correct this problem.

I have actually seen this before, and was wondering if anyone has had
this problem, and what you have done to correct it?

TIA
Melanie

Hi,

It could be the tables. You may need to make them
separate pdfs
then insert them into place.
or set them up so they just link into the document.

Yes, I think it may be the tables or charts - they are being imported
from excel (this is a study report)

I think it will be necessary - like you say - to apply page by page
corrections to this file in order to get it to work

I appreciate your input !
