How well does Articulate create e-learning content that is accessible?
Any comments from those with experience either creating content with
Articulate or using it in an LMS will be appreciated.

Hi there
I've dealt with articulate for almost 10 years and it is not permitted to
be used where I work. For most of that time, their philosophy has been, if
it works with jaws, it is accessible. If you used another assistive
technology or just a keyboard, the accessibility drops off face off the
earth. They have adjusted their mindset in recent years, so stuff is more
accessible than just with Jaws.
Their rise product is the most accessible option they offer. The accessible
template they provide has color contrast issues and something else that I
forget this moment. I'll note that I haven't looked into it in over a year.

I had the same experience as Ryan. I looked at it for an LMS (last time I
reviewed it was just before the pandemic). I found many LMS products were
problematic.

Hi Bevi,
I am a learning designer and regularly use Articulate as part of my work. Articulate is preferred by most of my clients, but it is absolutely not the most accessible authoring tool available for content creation. Having said that, over the years the level of accessibility with Articulate has improved. A good designer can now make an accessible eLearning using Articulate.
When Articulate Rise was introduced to the Articulate suite of software a few years ago it was completely inaccessible, so Articulate Storyline was the only option I would work with. I have heard the accessibility for Rise has improved recently. I haven't taken the time to test Rise since the latest updates. My understanding is the prescribed templates for both Rise and Storyline still don't meet accessibility standards so l choose to create all my designs in Storyline where I can set up my own navigation. Articulate Rise is based on an embedded menu structure. With Storyline I can avoid the prescribed menus and templates and ensure I have the greatest control of user experience.
