Hi all

I am looking at a mobile app that has a large top nav menu and no mechanism
to get to the start of content. What it does do, though, is to force focus
to the content when a menu item is activated. I know this goes against
WCAG, but why is it a problem?

Thanks in anticipation.

Cheers

My first thoughts on that matter would be that,
A blind voice over or talk back user would be unfamiliar with the application.
Thus not know where he is on the screen.
Things need to have a logical semantic structure for screen reader users to navigate efficiently.

Just based on your description, it doesn't go against WCAG.

Hi,
Is there a mechanism for the user to control opening and closing the
menu? That is an application of
https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Techniques/client-side-script/SCR28
Thanks,
Sailesh
