It sounds like one of two issues:

1. The "Bullet 1" paragraph style in Word has an outline level of 3. This is by far the most likely cause.

2. In Acrobat, the Role Mapping is set to convert "Bullet 1" to H3.

Good afternoon,
We've run into a headache in that Word file templates were created, with proper Styles panel formatting, and then when they're converted to PDF the tags are incorrect.

For example: In Word, text will be formatted as "Bullet 1" but in the PDF it's tagged as "<H3>"

Does anyone have any insight into this error?

Thank you kindly!
Claire

If I create a list in word using one of the regular bullets, then open the Paragraph Dialog, the level is set to "Body Text"

If I go to the List Paragraph Style, and then choose modify, Format, Paragraph, it too is set to Body Text.

Blad this was an easy one to solve!

Cheers, Karen

Thank you!

It seemed to be #1 (I have never know of this formatting in a Word document), but my question now is, what level should bullets be set to so they are properly tagged in the PDF?
