Hello Everyone,

I am currently working for a company where we are sending out alternate formats for certain documents and communications for our customers. These include Braille, Audio, Data, and Large Print Formats.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with these alternative formats and how they receive them from businesses that they request them from. What formats do they come in and what are the feedback on those formats? Do people like certain formats from certain companies and not others? What would the differences be between those likes and dislikes?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Josh

When I created a new bank account several years ago, I requested the terms and conditions document to be sent to me in braille. A week or so later when I had forgotten about it, I received a huge box with several volumes of braille books. It turned out that this bank got everything printed out in grade 1 braille, so the terms and conditions document took up several volumes of braille paper. That was the last time I ever requested braille documentation.

It is best to ask the user what format she / he wishes. Perhaps the
website can list the different formats you offer upon a specific request
being made.
