Greetings
Is there a source collating access key handling for different user agents?

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I have already been through the wats.ca
articles. Gratitudes to authors. The third link fits the bill but I
was looking for something more recent if it does exist.
Thanks and happy new year
K.

I think John's subtle advice was "don't use accesskeys", as the
implementation in browsers is seriously flawed.

Happy new year,

Tim

Or not so subtle! <smile> Konstantine, I strongly urge you to not use
accesskeys. If you absolutely feel you need to provide this type of
functionality, I suggest you check out Gez Lemon's slick solution here:

User-Defined Access Keys (PHP Version):

User-Defined Access Keys (ASP Version):

Happy New Year All!

Ah! I see. Promise I had good intentions only [smile]. I certainly do
not wish to make things harder by implemeting something that should
make life easier.

Thanks for your time

Hi John
Thanks for the clarification. I was hoping the situation would have
changed for the better since the articles were published. Obviously
not.

Nice one, but unfortunately I do not have server-side options with the
site am building. I was going to define keys 1-6 only, for main
navigation links but I see it may cause more harm than good. I will go
with your advise and remove them and hope (naively?) there will be a
universal solution someday.

Thanks for your time
