SRA is seeking a User Interface Developer to join their team as a valued member of the User Experience practice. This individual will apply front-end engineering best practices as they assist with a variety of IT support contracts for the Federal government.

Key Responsibilities include:
>Conducting Section 508 compliance assessments and providing remediation recommendations

>Developing accessible, standards-compliant, cross-browser web pages in (X)HTML, CSS and JavaScript
>Advocating for and implementing front-end engineering best practices related to usability, performance, security and code quality
>Working directly with multiple project managers and application developers in varying server-side environments
>Supporting technical leads in over-arching initiatives
>Using frameworks and libraries to make UI development more efficient.
>Collaborating with visual designers, user-centered designers, requirements analysts, and testers.
>Working in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and working independently.
>Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
>Mentoring and learning from other developers.
>Stay up to date on emerging technologies and updates to existing technologies



Required Basic Qualifications:

>Strong understanding of (X)HTML, CSS, and Web accessibility (including Section 508)
>Moderately-strong JavaScript skill (functions, objects, JSON, AJAX)



Desired Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with moderate understanding of any of the following:
>.NET, Java, PHP, C/C++ and/or ColdFusion
>CMS (such as Drupal, Plone, or Percussion), or other application frameworks
>ActionScript and/or Flex
>SharePoint Development or Administration
>eLearning development (SCORM conformant)
>Understanding of Object Oriented Programming

>Understanding of Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL Databases
>In-depth knowledge of other SDLC skill-sets
>Web services, XML, REST, SOAP
>Workflow and collaboration tools
